Why Us?
Our Piqua optometrists are highly skilled and enthusiastic when it comes to fitting and managing contact lens, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. The choice between eyeglasses or contact lenses comes down to personal preferences regarding your lifestyle, comfort level, convenience and the overall “look”; not everybody loves the way they look in glasses, and that’s okay! Contact lens fitting is personalized to your unique eyes, so if you find yourself interested in how wearing contacts may suit your lifestyle, call now to schedule your Piqua contact lens exam!
The contact lens fitting and evaluation will follow your comprehensive eye exam. An eyeglasses prescription differs from contact lenses prescription, so a test will be performed that measures the surface of your cornea, pupil, and other parts of your eyes so that our optometrists can determine the exact fit that will work for you.
If you have been diagnosed with irregular astigmatism, keratoconus, or have had corneal surgery, you may qualify for Dr. Dustin’s Specialty Contact Lens Services. Dr. Valerie is experienced in fitting specialty corrective lenses regarding orthokeratology, consisting of a type of lens that is worn overnight to correct vision while you sleep, as well as lenses that focus on correcting astigmatism and presbyopia. Dr. Dustin has completed the Ohio State University’s Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lens, which primarily focuses on treating and managing “difficult to fit” contact lenses for corneal disease. We are prepared and looking forward to treating your eyes to the very best of our abilities. Your satisfaction and eye health is important to us!
